Brief: 80,000 sq.m development with new retail mall, class A offices and hotel refurbishment
Concept completed: March 2004

This project is for a mixed-use complex of approximately 80,000 sq.m on two urban blocks in the city centre, comprising an existing hotel, new retail and office facilities, and the introduction of new public spaces. Block 1, which incorporates the refurbishment of the 300-room existing hotel has a 12,000 sq.m two-storey shopping mall, with central atrium space and feature glazed dome. Above this is an L-shaped Class A office building of 18,000 sq.m, which forms an enclosed public terrace around the dome, with bars, cafes and restaurants. Block 2 is an office complex of 36,000sq.m It comprises three parallel buildings, with an open-ended atrium space, and a pedestrian street.
