Balkan Art Hotel

The Artist Retreat & Hotel in Bigova, Montenegro, blends a sustainable boutique hotel with artist residences and a local fishing community.

Located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, the staggered, low-density design mirrors the natural topography and traditional housing scale, subtly evoking mid-century Balkan modernism. Architectural features include stone-clad concrete fins, deep terraces, and a floating roofline with a panoramic restaurant. The masterplan integrates a 27-key hotel and spa, 12 artist villas, and 40 holiday apartments.
