Highgate House

Highgate House was a dilapidated Victorian property used as nine bedsits since the 1960s. It underwent a meticulous restoration after hidden original details were discovered.

The sensitive design seamlessly balances historic preservation with contemporary family living. Modern updates include an open-plan kitchen flowing into a zinc-clad, curved-roof garden extension. The project also features a three-tiered garden, five restored bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a private panoramic roof terrace.

The scheme was shortlisted for the 2016 AJ Retrofit House Awards.
