Hill View Apartments
This project sets a new model for the adaptive reuse of London's Victorian housing stock. The original building was a failing 1980s conversion of five studio flats within a terraced property built in 1885. In its place, the new scheme introduces three high-specification, independent dwellings.
Departing from standard horizontal planning, the lower floors are split vertically. This creates two distinct, dual-aspect duplexes with glazed extensions, private gardens and independent entrances. The top floor features a split-level loft apartment with an open terrace. The historic street elevation is meticulously restored, completely concealing the dramatic internal restructuring.
